Composting FYI Day!

We were able to go check the MBES garden on Friday.  We talked about the school's initiative to feed Oconee County.  Third grade will continue with finding a process to help our entire school composting in order to feed our garden.  The wheels are turning, now!

Map Project is in the books!

This week we were able to build the U.S. map while labeling the 6 rivers & 2 mountain ranges that we learned last week.  Thank you, parents, for helping out to make the clay and donate supplies :).

We had a day with loads of fun, treats, activities, and of course eclipse-watching!

Writing up a storm!

We had our official first day of writing, and we put our headphones to use!  Not for more sound, but to block sound to help us get focused. I am so proud of how hard they worked only on day 1!

Third Day in Third Grade!

Today was our third day in third grade!  We celebrated by doing an activity and doing our annual first class picture (sweet & spicy).  I'm grateful for these kiddos--they're making this year exciting, already!
